Title: The Blame Game
Pairing(s): Kyuhyun & Sungmin (KyuMin), Minor/Fluffy(maybe)!EunHae)
Genre: Angst, Romance, Drama.
Rating: PG (may later become fluff/smut I'm not sure how brave I'll feel)
Summary: Eight years ago, it had been the worst summer of Sungmin's life, which lead to an incident that made Kyuhyun swear to be Sungmin's enemy for as long as they both should live. The reason Sungmin doesn't quite know. However, soon after Kyuhyun moved away which made Sungmin completely forget about the incident. He pushed it back so far in his mind, that he doesn't even know why he recognizes the name Kyuhyun when the same person from eight years before moves back and joins his class. This begins the enemies relationship as Sungmin still fails to remember what caused Kyuhyun's hatred to build up so much.
Been busy with work lately, so updates may be slower.
(Sidenotes: They attend an all boys boarding school.Sungjin is older than Sungmin. ALSO I've never written a fanfic before, let alone a chaptered one, it has also been about two years since I've written anything. So stick around maybe and it could get better thanks again).
(Bold and Italic font = Texts, because Deviantart wouldn't let me do Center.)
To be honest, I'm not sure what's gone on with the font and codes or w.e. Prolly best to read on my LiveJournal: minninoona.livejournal.com/319…
Sungmin's head shot up from the biology book he was reading to look at his phone, he picked it up and smirked as he saw who the sender was. He opened the text and read:
Finally doing research. Favourite colour? o3o </I>1
Sungmin started typing back
Don't laugh. It's between yellow and pink, why are you doing research now? I'm trying to study. </I>
Donghee laughed under his breath and so did Hyukjae "who're you texting? And what's with the stupid smile?" Donghee asked.
Sungmin looked at his friend and he didn't even know that he was smiling "nobody
" he lied.
"It's got to be someone" Hyukjae said pointing a pencil at Sungmin "you're smiling like a fool, who is it?"
Sungmin rolled his eyes, and looked at Hyukjae "Cho Kyuhyun, no thanks to you
who gave you permission to pass out my number?" he said raising his eyebrows.
Hyukjae looked about before looking at his twiddling thumbs like a scolded child "sorry
I trusted Kyuhyun enough not to misuse your number. He seemed pretty eager for it too, so I didn't think it would do any harm" he shrugged.
The phone went off again, Sungmin picked it up and read:
Pink and Yellow? Really? Intestering. I'm doing it now because I know your studying, I don't want your grades improving, kekeke. </I>
Sungmin let out a small laugh and pressed his tongue to his tooth, before replying.
Yes. Really. Thanks a lot
I do appreciate it. Next question?</I>
He put his phone down, and looked back up "sorry
" he began before seeing the stupid faces on his friends faces "what?
Why are you both looking at me like that?"
"Do you like Kyuhyun?" Donghee asked getting straight to the point.
"What?!" Sungmin exclaimed in genuine shock "no" he shook his head frantically.
Hyukjae raised his eyebrows stifling a giggle "are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure" Sungmin confirmed flicking Hyukjae's forehead "I'm straight. I like girls"
"When was the last time you had a girlfriend Sungmin?" Donghee questioned.
Sungmin thought for a moment, he knew it had been a while since he last went out with a girl, but that didn't mean he didn't like them. He just hadn't met anyone that he liked as of yet and none showed any interest in him "it must've been about
three years" he admitted as his phone vibrated, he picked it up and pointed at the two "shut up".
He looked at his phone and read Kyuhyun's reply:
I knew you'd appreciate it. I like this being civil with you stuff. It's nice to be able to text someone who doesn't turn off his phone when studying. The next question is
Sungmin shot his friends a look as he heard them making 'kissy' noises to which they laughed and continued looking at their books. He replied:
Anyways, I guess I can say the same. Hating someone takes too much energy. My future career? I'm not entirely sure, I suppose I'm in the uncategorized career line. Whatever I do I want to be good at it and I want to enjoy it.
"You two need to stop" he laughed slightly, as he put his phone back on the table "I do not like Kyuhyun in that way, and I'm sure he feels the same" he finished off as he flicked both of their faces.
"Whatever you say Sungmin" Hyukjae said with a hint of sarcasm.
Sungmin shuffled lifelessly down the corridor to his homeroom, he kept facing forward even when Hyukjae bumped him with his hip.
"Morning hyung" he said, too loud for Sungmin's liking.
"Shh" Sungmin hushed him.
Hyukjae took at Sungmin's face "err
You okay there?' he asked concerned.
" he yawned but continued talking, his words incomprehensible before finishing off his sentence with "
so he kept me up all night".
Hyukjae gave him a look and smiled, his mind obviously in other places.
Sungmin looked at him and it didn't register until they entered their homeroom what Hyukjae meant "yah~!" he exclaimed "I didn't mean it like that, get your mind out of the gutter. I meant we were texting all night" he explained, before realizing Hyukjae could twist that also "I mean, he was asking me questions for the art project" he explained again.
" Hyukjae nodded sarcastically "art project" he said using his fingers as quotation marks.
Sungmin hit his friends arm, "shut up
It was innocent. We're friends now that's it" he said, still feeling weird at saying that Kyuhyun was now his friend.
I believe you. Don't get so defensive" he laughed as he finally sat in his seat to which Sungmin did the same, Hyukjae turned around to face Sungmin "Kyuhyun is handsome though, you two would look nice together" he winked.
"And for the umpteenth time Lee Hyukjae, I'm straight" Sungmin said scowling.
Hyukjae shrugged "just saying".
END NOTE: This chapter is a bit short.
