Pairing(s): Kyuhyun & Sungmin (KyuMin), Minor/Fluffy(maybe)!EunHae)

Genre: Angst, Romance, Drama.

Warning(s): Swearing

Rating: PG (may later become fluff/smut I'm not sure how brave I'll feel)

Summary: Eight years ago, it had been the worst summer of Sungmin's life, which lead to an incident that made Kyuhyun swear to be Sungmin's enemy for as long as they both should live. The reason Sungmin doesn't quite know. However, soon after Kyuhyun moved away which made Sungmin completely forget about the incident. He pushed it back so far in his mind, that he doesn't even know why he recognizes the name Kyuhyun when the same person from eight years before moves back and joins his class. This begins the enemies relationship as Sungmin still fails to remember what caused Kyuhyun's hatred to build up so much.

Been busy with work lately, so updates may be slower.

(Sidenotes: They attend an all boys boarding school.Sungjin is older than Sungmin. ALSO I've never written a fanfic before, let alone a chaptered one, it has also been about two years since I've written anything. So stick around maybe and it could get better thanks again).

Chapter 10

Sungmin’s eyes fluttered as he slowly woke up, he stared blankly at the empty single bed on the other side of the room. Until he finally realized, he usually slept in a room by himself. He furrowed his brow, as he felt a sudden shift from behind him.
He squinted his eyes and as a routine check he felt his body to make sure no clothes were lost, he sighed with relief when he found himself fully clothed.

Sungmin wasn’t too sure why he worried too much about that since he wasn’t drinking, he was straight but when he was drunk he would get touchy-feely with anyone and anything. But alas, here he was in someone else’s bed. He slowly turned himself over to see who he was sharing a bed with, to find none other than Cho Kyuhyun.

That’s when he remembered bringing Kyuhyun back to his room, then being asked by the same person not to leave as he needed comfort. To which Sungmin obliged and stayed.

He looked at Kyuhyun’s face, and smiled at how child-like he looked when he was asleep. He laughed a little at the acne scars that dimpled the skin by his cheeks, but became serious as he saw Kyuhyun frown slightly as a gentle tear escape the corner of his eye, and coursed it’s way down his cheek. Sungmin went to wipe it away, but stopped his hand he didn’t want to accidentally wake Kyuhyun arm and freak him out. So instead he twisted his mouth, and turned his way up and out of Kyuhyun’s bed. He stepped outside of Kyuhyun’s room and shut the door carefully.

Sungmin pinched the bridge of his nose as he made his way back to his own room. It had been an eventful couple of days, and it had exhausted him.
Once he had made his way back to his room, he sat at his desk and leant back in his chair, he looked at the unfinished Chemistry essay that was due soon. He groaned “don’t look at me like that” he said to it, as if would answer back, he then picked up a pen and stared intensely at the paper hoping for his brain to click into gear so he could finish it.

“So how’s that art project coming along?” Donghee asked as he caught up with Sungmin, during their gym class.

They had to do a cross-country run, but for the older students the teachers didn’t worry too much about the students who had not chosen gym class as one of their priority classes. Therefore it became more of a cross-country walk which was a chance for everyone to mess around with friends and talk on the way.

Sungmin shrugged “haven’t really thought too much about it, I’m finding a little more about Kyuhyun but I don’t know enough to be able to… portray him. And now Mrs Yong has permission to take us on a class trip for three days to Jeju, to see the real side of our partners” he linked arms with Donghee, deciding to change the subject “I can’t believe we’ve near enough made it through high school together”
“It does feel weird” Donghee started “we’ve been together for… God only knows. We’ve both met another friend along the way too”
“Speaking of which” Sungmin said looking around and behind him “where’s the Monkey?”
Donghee smiled “playing sick with Donghae... again” he stifled a laugh.
Sungmin raised his eyebrows “I’m started to get even more suspicious now, the sick days have become frequent” he said stroking his chin, before laughing a little.
Donghee nodded “I’ve noticed too”.
“Nevertheless, I’m happy for him… and you” he said grinning, nudging Donghee in the side hinting about his relationship with his girlfriend Nari.
“Thanks” Donghee said, he smiled and blushed slightly “you need to find someone, I think a girlfriend would be good for you”.
Sungmin grimaced “I think not… Girlfriends are too much bother, commitment is too stressful. I have more important things to worry about, I’m a busy person”.
Donghee scoffed “you? Busy?… You really are a comedian”.
“Excuse me” Sungmin exclaimed with a expression of faux-shock “I’m busy with catching up on sleep, homework, dealing with a neurotic mother, and taking care of the pet monkey, it takes up a lot of my day”
Donghee rolled his eyes and shook his head as he put an arm around Sungmin’s shoulder “whatever you say” he chuckled.

As Donghee and Sungmin walked out of the changing rooms after their gym class. Sungmin’s phone started to ring, Sungmin furrowed his brow when he didn’t recognize the number, he pushed the answer button and held it to his ear.
“Hello?” he said
Donghee tapped him on the shoulder and mouthed “Study session, see you later” Sungmin nodded to Donghee and waved a little as he walked down the corridor.
“Sungmin?” a familiar voice spoke.
“Yeah… who is this?” he said still confused.
“You don’t know your own brother when you hear him?” the voice on the other side said.
“Sungjin-hyung?” Sungmin said slightly shocked that his own brother who he didn’t really get along with was calling him, it had been a few months since they spoken to one another, and since the stubborn gene ran through their veins Sungmin never would’ve thought his brother would be the first to call.
“No…” Sungjin added sarcastically “of course it’s me, what other brothers do you have?” he laughed.
“Right” Sungmin answered, not knowing how to start “Hyung… I-” he started.
“I know…“ Sungjin interrupted, his tone slightly more serious then before “Mom told me that you called her and told her you remembered everything, I’m really so-”
“I know. I am too” Sungmin interrupted as he twisted his mouth “It must’ve been difficult for you”
“It was…” Sungjin sighed, “but we should move on from that” there was an awkward pause.
“Hyung…” Sungmin said wanting to break the silence “I’m going on a trip to Jeju in about a week or so. If I spoke to my teacher, can I stay with you…” he asked, hoping for a chance maybe to bring the relationship of the two brothers together.
Sungjin was quiet for a bit “of course!” he exclaimed down the phone his excitement obvious “bring a friend too or something, the more the merrier”
“Thanks hyung… I’ll call you soon, to confirm that it’s okay with my teacher” he said “call Mom, she misses you” he added before hanging up.

That night Sungmin sat at his desk, twirling side to side in his chair. Looking blankly at the trip letter on his desk, with the words at the top in bold font:

GET CLOSER TO YOUR PARTNER!

Sungmin grimaced slightly as he read the words over, he was being civil with Kyuhyun. But their relationship, wasn’t that of friends quite yet. It’s quite easy to say ‘get closer’ to someone, but putting it into practice is always the trick. His thoughts interrupted as his phone vibrated and played his message tone, he picked it up an opened the message looked confused as the message read:

Yah~! Lee Sungmin, this is my number. I just thought we may need each others numbers for next week. Don’t think too much of it.
From Cho Kyuhyun ㅇ ㅗ ㅇ.

“How the fuck did he get my number?” Sungmin asked out loud, as he saved the number on and made his way to his bed to turn in for the night, he stared at the phone twisting his mouth slightly.

Meanwhile

Kyuhyun sat in his room and stared blankly at his phone, looking frustrated at the message he had just sent and kept on looking at his inbox only to be disappointed at the lack of reply from the recipient.
He had spent all day looking for people who may know Sungmin’s number, until he finally found a Lee Hyukjae who happily gave the number to him.
And now after all of his efforts, Sungmin wasn’t replying to him “this hyung is so rude” he said to himself, as he couldn’t believe Sungmin’s nerve to ignore him.

He stared at his phone until sleep overtook him, he fell asleep still sat on the floor and leant up against the wall his phone dropping to the floor with a dull thud as it hit the rug.

That was when his phone started to vibrate, Kyuhyun opened one eye and smiled.

(END NOTE: Sorry it took so long, I had a minor case of writers block. This chapter is also a bit of a filler chapter, y'know.. to bulk out the story a bit more.)
This chapter is not the interested and a bit all over the place. Sorry.

The secret is out.

(The events mentioned did not ever happen. I do not own the characters, they are their own persons. I only take credit for the storyline).
